How to build from the instructions

A build’s step-by-step instructions come as a PDF. Here is how to read a page and get set up before you start.

When a shared build has instructions, its page has a “Download instructions PDF” button. Each page of the PDF is one step.

How to read a page

• The big number at the top left is the step.
• The box next to it shows the pieces this step adds. “2x” means two of that piece.
• The picture shows the model so far, with this step’s pieces in place.
• The page number is at the bottom right.

Print it or use a tablet

The pages are A4. Print them, or open the file on a tablet so a whole page fits on the screen at a size you can read.

Before you start

1. Check the build’s page for the piece count and colors, so you know what you need.
2. Find the pieces for the first few steps and set them aside. Each step’s box shows what goes in.
3. Clear a flat space with room to spread out.

Tell us how it went

When you build one of your own builds in the app, it asks “Did it go together OK?” after you close the instructions. Your answer helps us make better instructions.
