Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 10, 2026 — version 1.0

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Stackable account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may still use the app anonymously to build brick models, but you will not have access to account-based features.

2. Age Requirement

You must be 13 years of age or older to create a Stackable account.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If we have reason to believe that you are under 13, we reserve the right to suspend or delete your account.

Anonymous usage (building brick models without an account) is available to users of all ages. Anonymous users do not provide any personal information and do not have access to social features.

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Types and Feature Access

Stackable offers two usage modes.

Anonymous users (no account required, no age requirement). You can build brick models using natural language, chat with the build assistant, and view and download your builds during the current session. We do not collect personal information from anonymous users.

Registered users (account required, 13 years or older). All anonymous features, plus: persistent build history across sessions, favoriting and organizing builds, sharing builds with the community (where available), access to social features, data export, and persistent build storage.

4. Content Guidelines

Stackable is designed to be a family-friendly platform. All user-generated content must comply with the guidelines below.

Prohibited content. You may not submit content that contains profanity, slurs, or offensive language; promotes violence, weapons, or harmful activities; contains hate speech or discrimination; includes sexual or adult-oriented content; contains personal information (emails, phone numbers, physical addresses); promotes self-harm or dangerous behavior; harasses, threatens, or bullies other users; or infringes on intellectual property rights.

Moderation. All user-submitted text (chat messages, build names, and build requests) is reviewed by our automated content moderation system before processing. Content that violates these guidelines will be blocked and may be flagged for manual review by our team. We aim to keep false positives low. If your content is blocked and you believe this was an error, you may request a review through the appeal process described in Section 5.

Build content. Build requests should be creative, constructive, and family-friendly. Build requests involving weapons, violence, or other inappropriate themes will be rejected, and the system will suggest family-friendly alternatives.

5. Moderation and Appeal Rights

How moderation works. Content is reviewed automatically in real time. Our moderation system uses a combination of keyword filtering and AI-powered content analysis. Decisions are made before content is processed or displayed.

Your rights. You have the right to know that your content is being moderated, to receive a clear notification when your content is blocked, and to request a manual review of a moderation decision. Manual reviews are handled by our team and typically completed within 24 hours.

Appeal flow. If your content is blocked, you can submit a review request. A member of our moderation team reviews the content manually, then either approves or upholds the block, and you are notified that the review is complete. For privacy and security reasons we do not disclose the specific reasons a piece of content was blocked.

6. Account Deletion and Data Rights

You have the right to delete your account and personal data at any time.

How to delete. Open Settings → "Delete My Account" in the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is removed and what is anonymized.

What happens when you delete. Your personal information (email, device identifier, profile fields) is immediately removed. Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can restore it. Your builds are anonymized — personal identifiers are stripped from intent text and chat messages — and the de-identified content is retained for platform improvement. After 30 days, account deletion is permanent.

For complete details on data handling, retention, and your rights under the GDPR, refer to the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

Your builds. You retain ownership of the creative concepts behind the build requests you submit (e.g., "build me a red fire station with a helipad"). The generated model files (LDR), rendered images (PNG), and instruction documents (PDF) are produced by Stackable's compilation and rendering services. You are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, download, and share the generated output from your builds. By using Stackable, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use anonymized build data (intents, model files) for the purpose of improving our services, including training and improving our AI models.

LEGO® trademark. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of Companies. The LEGO Group does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse Stackable. Stackable is an independent platform; we design and visualize buildable brick creations compatible with the brick standard popularized by the LEGO Group. We have no affiliation with, and receive no support from, the LEGO Group of Companies. Within the application itself we use the generic term "brick" instead of the LEGO® mark; references to LEGO® here in the legal documentation are nominative and descriptive only.

Third-party data attributions. Stackable's geometry pipeline encodes brick models using the LDraw™ parts library, an open community standard for brick CAD programs. LDraw parts are redistributed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 (CC BY 2.0); some library components carry additional terms (see ldraw.org for details). Our brick-set catalog (themes, sets, and parts inventory — approximately 26,000 sets) is sourced from the public Rebrickable dataset under their attribution terms. Neither LDraw nor Rebrickable is affiliated with the LEGO Group of Companies, and we are not affiliated with either of them.

A complete list of open-source software used to build and operate Stackable is available on request.

8. Service Availability

Stackable is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance that temporarily makes the service unavailable, modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice, and limit usage based on subscription tier. Anonymous and free-tier users are subject to usage limits, including a maximum number of builds per day and rate limiting on API requests; current limits are documented in the app.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to attempt to bypass content moderation filters; use the service to generate content that violates these Terms; reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the service; use automated tools to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use; impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination, you will be notified of the reason; your personal data will be handled in accordance with our data deletion policy (30-day grace period applies); and you may appeal the termination decision.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document, and for material changes we will notify registered users via the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Stackable is operated from the Netherlands. These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising out of or relating to them or to your use of Stackable, are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union law (including, where relevant, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Digital Services Act).

You and we agree that the competent courts of the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Stackable, except that consumers resident in another EU/EEA member state retain the right to bring proceedings in, or have proceedings brought against them in, the courts of their member state of residence as required by EU consumer-protection law.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
